Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology

Fall 2020 Academic Support Options

As the Brown University community prepares for a hybrid virtual/in-person academic year, the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology is offering new and adapted resources to support instructors and students during the Fall 2020 semester.

For more than 60 years, the Haffenreffer Museum has supported teaching and research at Brown University through our exhibits, public programs, and hands-on object lessons in the CultureLab. While our in-person offerings remain on hold to help stop the spread of COVID-19, we remain committed to supporting dynamic, object-based learning with innovative virtual options.

The Fall 2020 Academic Support Options document lists a variety of resources available to students and instructors, including:

  • Transient Matter Online Exhibit and Discussion Guide
  • Guidelines for requesting a Virtual CultureLab Session
  • YouTube Playlist of past talks with scholars, artists, and other notable guests
  • Chat with Museum Staff - a new opportunity to connect one-on-one with Museum staff to learn about the museum field, research topics, etc.
  • Plus much more!
