Due to the national expansion of the COVID-19 coronavirus, all Haffenreffer Museum events, outreach programs, and public activities have been postponed or canceled, effective immediately.
Events: All upcoming events, lectures, and workshops scheduled at, by, or for the Haffenreffer Museum through May 31st have been postponed or canceled. We hope that many of these events can be rescheduled for the fall semester. Please continue to check our website, calendar, and/or social media postings for the most up-to-date details on these events.
Outreach Programs: The Haffenreffer Museum is also suspending all community outreach programs including Culture CaraVan, Think Like an Archaeologist, and the Brown Fox Point educational program. Those who have already scheduled programs will be contacted to make other arrangements, and the Haffenreffer Museum will not accept any new bookings until further notice.
Exhibitions: The Haffenreffer Museum is also closing our gallery in Manning Hall, effective 4 PM, Sunday, March 15th. The gallery will be closed to the public and to university usage until further notice. This closure affects all CultureLab programs, Gallery Night events, and the Transient Matter exhibition.
The Haffenreffer Museum's highest priority is the safety and well-being of our community, including our staff, students, faculty, and public audiences. We intend to make the Haffenreffer Museum as accessible as possible through virtual platforms, and we will share further updates regarding the Haffenreffer Museum's activities as the situation unfolds.
