Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology

The International Postdoctoral Fellowship Awarded from the Cogut Center

We are proud to announce that the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropogy and Joukowsky Institute for Archeology and the Ancient World have been awarded one of four International Postdoctural Fellowships from the Cogut Center for the Humanities. With this award, the Joukowsky Institute and Haffenreffer Museum will support the work of a Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of Critical Cultural Heritage.

Because archaeologists and museum curators have mostly been at the sharp edge of disputes between authorities and local communities or indigenous peoples, the purpose of this Fellowship will be to create a dedicated space for these debates at Brown by making Critical Heritage an explicit focus of teaching and research at both the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology and the Joukowsky Institute of Archaeology and the Ancient World.

Details about the position (and information about submitting applications) will be posted in the Spring. In the mean time, we look forward to cultivating scholarly research in the area of Cultural Heritage with our colleagues at the Joukowsky Institute of Archeology and the Ancient World.
