On June 2, our Curator of Programs and Education, Geralyn Ducady, will travel to Belize for a month-long research project throughout the country to interview people about archaeology, identity, and their relationships with archaeology and heritage. This project is sponsored by the Haffenreffer Museum and has the support of the organization Indigenous Heritage: Passed to Present (InHerit), which has been conducting heritage outreach in areas of Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico, and the Institute of Archaeology in Belize. You can join her on her adventure by following her blog, Expeditions in Public Archaeology.
